If your trimmer / weed whacker isn’t cutting clean or running right, bring it in if you notice:

• Hard starting / won’t stay running — only fires on choke, stalls when you squeeze the trigger

• Bogging or loss of power — revs in the air but dies or falls flat under load

• Surging or hunting at idle — RPMs rise and fall on their own (air/fuel issue)

• Short run time / fuel starvation — cracked fuel lines, clogged filter, or bad primer bulb

• Excessive vibration — worn clutch, bent drive shaft/cable, or damaged head

• Head won’t feed line / jams — wrong line size, worn eyelets, or damaged bump mechanism

• Line welds or melts together — overheated head, incorrect line, or debris packed inside

• Noisy rattles or grinding — failing gearbox/angle head or loose fasteners

• Overheating or hot smell — clogged spark arrestor, lean carb settings, or packed debris

• Electrical/battery issues (cordless) — won’t charge, intermittent power, or sudden shutoff

Catching problems early prevents costly damage (clutch, piston/cylinder, gearbox) and keeps your trimmer reliable for weekly edging and clean-ups.
